About

Bill lives in Rochester NY with his wife, Marilyn, and their Shichon, Sr. Mary Helen Lebowski, RSM also known as Daisy.  Bill retired in 2006 after a 40-year career in administration, planning and organizational leadership.  The first thirty were in higher education including ten years as president of a liberal arts college in Rochester.  The last ten he served as director of pastoral planning for the Roman Catholic Diocese of Rochester.  After retirement he authored a book on pastoral planning and completed a Masters of Theological Studies at St. Bernard’s School of Theology & Ministry in Rochester.  During the COVID 19 pandemic, Bill began playing pickleball which he continues to play avidly if not always expertly.  It was also during covid that Sr. Mary Helen entered the family.

Bill has wide ranging intellectual interests.  He speaks and writes on pastoral planning and the social justice implications of Christian discipleship.  He and Marilyn travel extensively to visit family throughout the country.  Together they have eight children and 20 grandchildren.  Their travel is not limited to family visits.  They try to escape the cold Rochester winters with extended stays in warmer climes.  In 2022 they will celebrate their twentieth year of marriage with a Rhine River cruise.  Due to COVID and then the war in Ukraine they had to postpone this trip twice.  Bill is an avid photographer and hopes you enjoy this diverse site.  Marilyn wasn’t exactly an avid photography until we got our little friend in November 2021.  Since then Daisy is about all she photographs….and for very understandable reasons as you can see below.
